From a pretty little early morning beach side coffee shop meeting point, Dani and Tommy took us through this thrilling experience of snorkelling which was our first time. In fact I can’t even swim and they never compromised on safety even with those who were expert swimmers. We couldn’t swim with Manta Rays due to extremely rough waters at Manta Bay all day. The tour at Nusa penida right from the scenic restaurant to an informative guided tour of the west part of the island was the icing on the cake. You’re sure to return from this one with some great memories!

In fact I can’t even swim and they never compromised on safety even with those who were expert swimmers. We couldn’t swim with Manta Rays due to extremely rough waters at Manta Bay all day. The tour at Nusa penida right from the scenic restaurant to an informative guided tour of the west part of the island was the icing on the cake. You’re sure to return from this one with some great memories!

The boat is plenty big enough for the number onboard (14 for our trip) and fast enough to get us across to Penida without issue or delay. We met at Seagrass at 7:30 and in case you’re hungry it’s a great little cafe for breakfast before you start. We went to all the snorkel spots and island viewpoints detailed in the description. For me the highlight was the mantas - we were lucky enough to be swimming with 2-3 of them constantly as the kept circling back feeding. Magical!
The lunch was great - well cooked and good choice with incredible views from the top of the hill. This is followed by 45 minutes of what most would describe as off-road driving to get to the viewpoints so if you have any kind of car sickness take it easy at lunch. You have to walk from the car park to the view which can be quite steep in places and hot so make sure you take water. 30 minutes on to the next view and then another 45 minutes back to the boat for the last snorkel. You may feel like you’re done snorkeling but it’s worth it as it’s a drift snorkel over beautiful and undamaged coral gardens with turtles and many shoals of fish. The boat ride back was a little more adventurous with much larger waves so be warned.
All up a fantastic day of snorkelling and seeing some very different parts of Bali. A must do activity with this company who took real care to make sure the whole group was engaged and enjoying the day.

Such an amazing day with the Day Trip Bali team on the SweetHeart boat! We were lucky enough to see a Manta Ray at our first snorkelling spot, and our last snorkelling spot was an absolutely amazing coral garden with hundreds of fish! Vino and Tommy took great care of everyone and made the day so much fun!

We booked this tour as we wanted to swim in Nusa Penida instead of doing just a land trip tour and I’m so glad we did!
Transportation to and from the boat was prompt, comfortable and friendly. We got picked up from our Villa at 6:30am and drive 40mins to the boat at Sanur, which was easily arranged through the tour via WhatsApp. We had breakfast at the meeting place, Seagrass by the beach, and waited for the rest of the group to arrive.
The boat was clean (PSA no shower but there is a toilet on board) and the guides were so friendly and knowledgeable. We felt very safe snorkelling at all the spots and we could tell that the guides were very experienced. We snorkelled at 3 spots in the morning and saw 4 Mantas in Manta Bay! It was amazing to see them so close. We were also able to jump off the top of the boat which was super exciting!
After snorkelling we went to lunch at a lovely restaurant that had a few pools and amazing views. The menu consisted of fried rice, pizzas, caesar salad, etc. You could choose 1 main dish and 1 drink (soft drink/juice). Here, we first had a swim after ordering food and then hopped out when food was ready. Once we finished the food I had a shower and changed into some dry walking clothes. I really recommend showering the salt water off as it doesn’t mix well with the humidity. I brought a spare shirt and shorts to change into that were dry. I also wore sneakers for the tour, when boarding the boat you have to get your feet wet so the guides will take everyone’s shoes and put them in a box so you don’t have to worry about them.
We went to 3 spots on the island that were all beautiful! The road was very bumpy but the drivers were so good. The A/C in the car was amazing after being in the humidity.
After the land tour you head back to the boat for one final snorkel if there is time. I changed back into my swimmers in the toilet. We saw a sea turtle during this swim! After the snorkel you’ll head back to Bali and I just stayed in my swimmers all the way back to our Villa.

Gede and Olog made the trip, they were so knowledgeable and so friendly. We loved the footage that Olog got on the go pro. We can’t wait to go back to Nusa Penida again soon. We feel so thankful that we had the most amazing guides to show us around the island. Also wanted to say how impressed I was with Olog helping out inexperienced swimmers get in the water so they could get the full experience. I know they really appreciated it. Also special mention to our driver! Kadek was so fun to talk too, and he knew a lot about the island and was able to answer all our questions!!

The tour was so fun with enough time on both the island and in the water. Our tour guide Gede and all the crew on board were so friendly and patient and (literally) held our hands through all the water activities as well as on the difficult roads on the island. We felt very well taken care of and had the most fun. Would definitely go again if or when we come back to Bali!

We arrived to the location by a driver they arranged pick us up. Once we arrived at the meeting spot they were very patient with us and waited till we finished doing stuff till we got onto the boat. Once onboard we said that we wanted to more drive around and see the scenery.
They took us to the spot to see Martas and Leo dived in first and swam looking around and we sat on the boat waiting to quickly drive to the location if he found one. Sadly we didn’t see one but just watching it all was very interesting.
We then went to another snorkelling spot and the fishes and coral was amazing and the fish would come up to us and it was very cool seeing all the different fish
We then went to a spot to jump off the boat and we got to go all the way to the top off the boat and jump into the water and just being able to do that was so much fun.
While driving we all sat on the very top of the boat and the front and they drove slow enough so it was safe for us to sit up the top for the whole trip. (This wasn’t smart for us as we all got badly burnt so please bring and apply sunscreen which Leo reminds u to do but we didn’t listen)
While driving around they left it up to us when we wanted to have lunch and it was good because we were with someone from the boat at all times. We got to swim in the pool while we waited for our food to come which was another experience in itself because the view is amazing
Once back on the boat we drove to another snorkelling spot and Leo took us in the water and we swam for a long time. Just as we called the boat over and was waiting Leo pointed out just under us a turtle swimming and it was just amazing because we got to swim with a turtle so we were very thankful
Once finished Leo waited with us to ensure we got in the car safely that was taking us back to our Villa which was very appreciated.
Overall they were just amazing. They constantly offered water to us, provided towels to dry off and swim gear for everyone. We had an amazing experience and it is definitely a MUST TO DO THIS IF CONSIDERING.
