As the largest operator in Bali, serving over 40,000 passengers annually across more than 50 boats and yachts, the health and safety of our passengers and crew are our paramount priority. This document outlines the comprehensive health and safety procedures that all Bluuu Tours staff, partners, and passengers must adhere to. 3. Passenger Insurance Coverage
To ensure the financial protection of our passengers in unforeseen circumstances, Bluuu Tours provides comprehensive insurance coverage:
Insurance Provider: PT Jasa Raharja Putera insurance company.
Coverage: Up to IDR 200 million per passenger.
Eligibility: All passengers aged 8 to 75 years old are automatically covered.
4. Guide Certification and Training
Our guides are the frontline of our operations and play a crucial role in ensuring passenger safety. Bluuu Tours maintains a rigorous program for guide certification and ongoing training:
Certified Guides: All Bluuu Tours guides are fully certified by relevant authorities.
Quarterly Training: Guides undergo mandatory health and safety training sessions every quarter. These trainings cover:

5. Tour Group Management
To ensure personalized attention and effective supervision, Bluuu Tours adheres to strict group size policies:
Maximum Shared Group Size: Shared tour groups are limited to a maximum of 14 passengers.
Guide-to-Passenger Ratio: Each tour group is accompanied by a minimum of two (2) certified guides at all times, one guide for every 7 passengers. This ensures adequate supervision and immediate assistance if required.
6. Onboard Safety Equipment
All boats and yachts operated by Bluuu Tours are equipped with a comprehensive set of safety equipment, regularly inspected and maintained to ensure full functionality:
Life Jackets: Sufficient number of life jackets for all passengers and crew, including various sizes for adults and children, are readily accessible.
First Aid Kits: Fully stocked and regularly updated first aid kits are available on board, managed by trained personnel.
Oxygen Tanks: Emergency oxygen tanks are present on all vessels for medical emergencies.
Communication Devices: Reliable communication devices (e.g., marine radios, satellite phones) are on board for immediate contact with shore in case of emergencies.
Fire Extinguishers: Appropriately sized and maintained fire extinguishers are strategically placed throughout the vessel.
Emergency Flares/Signals: Visual and audible emergency signaling devices are available.

7. Diving Operations
For tours that include diving activities, the following additional safety measures are strictly enforced:
Certified Dive Professionals: All diving activities must be led and supervised by certified dive masters or instructors (e.g., PADI, SSI, or equivalent).
Equipment Checks: All diving and snorkeling equipment (masks, fins, snorkels, BCDs, regulators, tanks) must be inspected for proper function and maintenance before each use.
Pre-Dive Briefings: Comprehensive briefings will be conducted before any in-water activity, covering:
Dive/snorkeling plan and site specifics.
Emergency signals and procedures.
Proper use of equipment.
Guidelines for interacting with marine life and protecting the underwater environment.
Buddy System: A buddy system will be enforced for all certified divers, and snorkelers will be encouraged to stay in pairs or within designated supervised areas.
Emergency Preparedness: Vessels conducting diving operations will have additional emergency equipment, including:
Larger oxygen supply.
First aid kits specifically equipped for diving-related injuries.
Clear protocols for managing decompression sickness (DCS) and immediate evacuation to appropriate medical facilities.
Supervision: Non-certified divers or inexperienced snorkelers will receive extra supervision and assistance from guides. Unsupervised diving by non-certified individuals is strictly prohibited.
8. Health and Hygiene

Food and Beverage Handling:
All food and beverages provided on board will be sourced from reputable suppliers and handled, stored, and prepared in accordance with strict hygiene standards.

Waste Management:
Designated and clearly labeled bins will be available for waste segregation (organic, inorganic, recyclable).
All waste generated on board will be collected and properly disposed of at designated onshore facilities. No waste, including food scraps, is to be discharged into the sea.
Sanitation:
Restrooms and common areas on all vessels will be cleaned and sanitized regularly throughout the day.
Hand sanitizers will be readily available for passengers and crew.
Communicable Disease Prevention:
Crew members will undergo regular health checks.
Protocols for isolating and managing passengers or crew exhibiting symptoms of communicable diseases will be in place, in coordination with local health authorities.
9. Environmental Safety
Bluuu Tours is committed to protecting Bali's and Nusa Penida MPA’s pristine marine environment. Our operations adhere to strict environmental safety protocols:
Zero Discharge Policy:
No solid waste, sewage, or greywater is to be discharged into the ocean. All waste must be stored on board and disposed of properly on shore.
Strict adherence to regulations regarding the discharge of oily bilge water.
Marine Life Protection:
Passengers and crew are strictly prohibited from touching, harassing, feeding, or removing any marine life (e.g., corals, fish, turtles).
Educational briefings will be provided to passengers on responsible interaction with the marine environment.

12. Review and Updates
This Health and Safety Procedures Manual will be reviewed and updated annually, or more frequently as required, to incorporate new regulations, best practices, and lessons learned from incidents or near-misses.

Regulatory Adherence: All operations will strictly comply with relevant Indonesian maritime laws, tourism regulations, and international safety standards (e.g., SOLAS where applicable).
