We had an amazing day with Nyoman on the Little Star. The snorkeling was beautiful and the lunch spot with infinity pool and view was very relaxing. We enjoyed our day and always felt safe in the water with Nyoman. We saw beautiful fish, sea turtles and manta rays. It was a very enjoyable day.

We had an amazing day with Nyoman on the Little Star. The snorkeling was beautiful and the lunch spot with infinity pool and view was very relaxing. We enjoyed our day and always felt safe in the water with Nyoman. We saw beautiful fish, sea turtles and manta rays. It was a very enjoyable day.

This was one of the most amazing and memorable trips we have ever taken. Day Trip Bali is a great operator due to their well trained staff, modern (and very fast) private boats, new and reliable cars and amazing drivers, and for the whole purchasing and planning experience where they are always communicating with you in very clear ways. We even sent a question by WhatsApp at 9pm and got an answer a few mins later. We felt safe and well take care of. Our tour was led by our amazing guide Derrick and his assistant Adek, who were very knowledgeable and helpful and also who importantly had a lot of passion for what they did. They were amazing divers and really guided us through the snorkeling, taking some amazing go pro footage of us, which we were given straight awayat the end of our trip! Derrick and Adek also catered the whole experience to what we wanted, changing the route or planning to suite our mood better. They were one of the best guides we have had in any trip in our Bali adventure holiday, well recommended. They were not alone, and had a crew of many people who each had an important role, from driver on land to captain of the boat.
The boat ride out to the island of Nusa Penida was so fast and exciting that it was an experience in itself. The boats go super fast, which makes for a fun ride. We had kids with us ranging from 7 to 13 and they absolutely loved it. The boat had the latest in safety equipment. The snorkeling was incredible and the snorkeling equipment was great, bar a couple of items that did not have perfect seals, however because they had backups it worked out fine. The land tour is super bumpy, so be prepared. We felt the land part wasn't the highlight so decided to cut it short and do more snorkeling. The lunch restaurant is incredible, the pool is great for the kids and the food is buffet so you can eat quickly without any delays. The ride back to Bali was equally exciting and after a long day we kicked back with a few beers as the boat sped home.
I would recommend anyone to take this tour with this operator and ask for Derrick and Adek and you won't be disappointed. It's well worth the slightly higher price than other tours.

We had the most incredible day with Gee and Micky I can’t rave enough about this experience and these guides!!
We met at this cool beach bar and had an awesome green smoothie bowl while they checked us in and told us the plan for the day!!
For the snorkeling saw ~ 5 manta rays + a turtle + tons of beautiful fish + they took us to these gentle flowing currents in the ocean so we just float and look at coral, fish and sea floor amazing drop offs.
Then we went to the island and walked around+ had lunch at this amazing resort + took pictures at their temple + went to two INSANE viewpoints.
Then we had an adele karaoke session with our guide Gee in the car on the way back to the boat.
If you have the opportunity this is the most incredible action packed day!!

We met at this cool beach bar and had an awesome green smoothie bowl while they checked us in and told us the plan for the day!!
For the snorkeling saw ~ 5 manta rays + a turtle + tons of beautiful fish + they took us to these gentle flowing currents in the ocean so we just float and look at coral, fish and sea floor amazing drop offs.
Then we went to the island and walked around+ had lunch at this amazing resort + took pictures at their temple + went to two INSANE viewpoints.

Gio and Tim were the best guides and they really did deliver on making sure we swam with Manta rays and turtles. Really exceeded my expectations and definite must trip for anyone visiting Bali. It was a blast !!

Loved everything about this trip! Manta Ray and SO many different kinds of fish. The snorkling equipment they provide are the best that I have tried so far (not that I have tied that many)🤪 no leaking water, so you can actuallu breathe! Love it, and Nyoman and Ringgo were amazing!

Huge thanks to Nyoman and Tommy for a wonderful day. Being within a few feet of a large Manta for a moment, as it glides majestically and obliviously past you, is a magical experience. I will treasure the memory, and Tommy's video, for years to come!
Mantas are just part of the trip and it's important to have realistic expectations. The currents at Manta point are quite strong and you can't stay long in the water there. There are also a lot of other boats - I estimate over 100 other people were in the water at the same time as our group of 10, all trying to see or film three Mantas.
Fortunately each of the other snorkeling sites also has its own particular appeal. Crystal Bay has beautiful clear waters - Nyoman, who is also a scuba instructor, taught everyone to dive down from the surface and Tommy, a freediver, filmed each of us doing it. Gamut Bay has a current that sweeps you along a coral wall with tubular pipefish and long-nosed fish; the boat picks you up at the other end. The last site, Mangrove Point, comes at the end of the trip and has some of the best coral I have seen anywhere in the world.
The land tour has some good views and gives chance to recharge after the morning's swimming. However, there is quite a bit of driving: strong swimmers might prefer the snorkeling-only tour.
There are a lot of operators doing similar tours with a wide variety of fees. Day Trip Bali is a premium operator, and for me it was well worth it. The communication was excellent throughout and the organisation was flawless. Nyoman and Tommy took excellent care of everybody's safety and made sure everyone in the group had all they needed, including the less confident swimmers. The tour group was smaller than most and the boat was bigger and more comfortable. Overall, good value for money and a great day out with two fantastic guides.
