This was a perfect trip. Our coach "KETUT" was very attentive and friendly. I was very nervous and uncomfortable when I first went into the water, but he took good care of me. Later, I was able to see the beautiful scenery under the sea. We were lucky to see manta rays as soon as we got into the water at the last diving spot. I really recommend chartering a boat. The DayTripBali team is very professional and attentive. I look forward to going there again next time.

The team was so amazing. They were polite, gentle and catered to our every need. They also helped us swim with manta rays when we were nervous.

The day we went snorkelling was fun and we were lucky enough to meet a manta & dolphins. Had a wonderful time with Aden and Aldo. They made sure we found more suitable swimming holes so we can get the best snorkelling. Also, the lunch spot was beautiful with delicious food, pool, and photo spot. Definitely one of the highlights of my Bali trip!

Krisna and Nyoman were the best guides I’ve had in Bali. They made sure that we were the safe the entire time and went out of their way to ensure we had a memorable time snorkelling

I recently went on a snorkeling tour in Nusa Penida, and it was absolutely breathtaking! The crystal-clear waters and vibrant marine life made it one of the most memorable snorkeling experiences I've had. The tour covered several spots, including the famous Manta Bay, where we had the chance to swim with manta rays — a truly magical experience!

Excellent snorkel tour. 5 stars. See Long review.
I will write a longer review as we struggled to know what company to use; hopefully this helps.
We did this tour in April 2025, with Gio and Tita, with the 'premium shared boat' option. We traveled with a 9 and 11 year old who are good swimmers.
This tour was excellent. The guides were high energy, supportive, kind, and confident. There were a couple guests on our tour who were not confident swimmers and they were well supported with life vests and a buoy to hold on to, while the more confident swimmers were free to dive and explore the reefs.
We saw dolphins, turtles, countless fish, and the Manta Rays. The kids had a great time.
When booking, we thought that the tour seemed a bit expensive, but having now done the tour, it seemed like good value for money. The boat was modern, with leather seating and plenty of room for the guests and guides. There was a steady supply of water/soda, and they had some fresh fruit between the snorkel locations - which was a nice touch.
Regarding the specifics of the tour:
The tour started with a 40-minute ride to the island, through what I think was a pretty calm sea for the area. My son and I are easily sea sick, so we took some anti nausea pills we had brought and we had no issues on this leg. The waves were long rollers, perhaps 6ft in amplitude and you could barely feel them in the tour boat.
The first snorkel spot was a drift-snorkel where we were dropped by the boat in one spot and drifted quickly along the current looking at the coral and fish as we passed above them. Everyone had a great time - there were turtles and lots of fish to see. It felt very safe and our guides managed the group deftly while also allowing us some freedom to explore.
The second stop was another drift snorkel that was similar to the first. Again, everyone had a great time. We spent maybe 45min in the water at each location.
We had a 3rd stop, but once on-site the guides decided the current was too strong and so we went on for lunch without going in the water. This decision gave me confidence in our guides that they were considering safety, and was relevant when it came to the Manta bay segment.
Lunch was at a 'beach-club' style facility at the top of the hills of the island; we got there by short car ride. There was a simple buffet lunch that was fine, but unexciting. Drinks other than water were extra, but not expensive. This location was beautiful with great views and a small pool overlooking the ocean.
At this point there was an option of staying at the poolside for 2.5hrs or going on a 1hr drive each way to see the Instagram-famous beach and take a few photos. We chose to stay at the poolside and enjoyed some ice cream and smoothies and had a chill time. The other guests who did the drive to cliff-view said it was good, but a bumpy drive.
We made our way back to the boat and had a 45min snorkel in a protected bay with no current and lots of fish and coral.
The last snorkel spot was the Manta Rays at Manta bay. The guides were quite clear that sometimes there are no rays, but there were some when we got there.
The Manta Rays are in the bay because they eat plankton and jellyfish there. The jelly fish cause a very mild sting, but it was a bit of a surprise as we didn't know they were there. I think this is pretty common in the bay, but sort of a non-issue, just something to be aware of - maybe worth wearing a rash guard. The bay is completely exposed to the ocean, and so the water is pretty rough - the guide said this was typical. The boat gets within about 100-200m of cliffs to get near the Manta's and so the combination of cliffs and big crashing waves is fairly impressive.
There was some discussion about not going in the water, in part because we had some weaker swimmers in our group, but the guide deemed it safe, and so we all jumped in with life vests and a safety line.
The Manta's swam within arm's reach of my son, and it was an incredible experience, made more impressive by the raw power of nature on display around us.
The boat did rock quite a bit while in the bay which gave both my son and I motion sickness, but once we were underway back to the mainland it passed fairly quickly. The sea was the same gentle rollers on the way back. By the time we stopped in a small bay for the prosecco party, we both felt fine.
The prosecco party was fun, with music, some impromptu karaoke for my boys, and some time to swim in the ocean to cool off.
We got to port around 6pm, with our driver (arranged by the tour) waiting to take us back to our hotel.
A great day for everyone.
The other thing I would note is that the company was very easy to communicate with and two separate people (including our guide Gio) contacted us in the days prior to the tour via WhatsApp. Ensuring we had no extra questions and making sure we were all set prior to the excursion. This was a great touch as well. Also, they include all goPro and SLR camera images for free, which is great as we now have footage of Mantas swimming by our kids.
Overall, I highly recommend this tour. It's good value for money and deserves its high rating on trip advisor.

It was absolutely amazing we had a group of 15 people and had an awesome crew our captains were buddie and Morgan. They took us to some beautiful spots the highlight was definitely the manta rays. The took us to a beautiful lunch spot on the beach. And are happy to party. They provided us with drinks and fresh fruit. If you’re looking for something to do in Nusa Lembongan I could not recommend doing a tour with buddies and Morgan enough. They were terrific.

Amazing experience. Nyoman is so funny and the whole experience was very organised. Will definitely come back again, we already went last year with him and his crew
